We had a great experience working with Tim and Après Build and we’d recommend their services! We worked with them on several significant projects, including a new addition, bathroom and deck area to our existing home. From the beginning, it was clear that Tim takes a tremendous amount of pride in his work and pays close attention to every detail - he is a very skilled craftsman and has a great vision for how the space will come together. The care through each step of the project exceeded our expectations, and we didn’t feel rushed or overlooked. Our remodel involved some complicated logistics, including intense structural details, using a crane for beams, materials and machinery, as well as working around the existing layout and passive house standards of our home. We changed a few major decisions before we started the project and Tim was supportive and willing to brainstorm with us on how we could best get what we were looking for in terms of feel and function. He kept everything organized from start to finish, was very transparent with us, communicating each step clearly and outlining pros and cons of any decision we needed to make. Après Build also uses a great project management software, sharing regular work reports, photos, files and communication all in one place. Tim was receptive to our questions and ideas, offering thoughtful recommendations while respecting our preferences and budget, taking extra time and care to explain things to us in ways we could understand. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, skilled, and trustworthy general contractor team!
Tim recently completed a home addition project for us in Summit Park, Utah. When we set out to accomplish our dream house project, we knew we needed somebody that we could trust to get the job done but also someone who could really add to and make our vision a reality. Because of our home’s challenging mountain environment we wanted somebody that had the experience and education that could build a modern energy-efficient, comfortable home that would last for generations. Tim’s knowledge, care, and communication amazed us from day one. Most importantly his passion matched and at times exceeded ours throughout the build. His care for our budget and the time he spent to find alternatives was instrumental in finishing the project. Tim’s expertise in both the big picture and the small minute detail was evident from our first conversation, and continued to the completion of the project. His extensive knowledge led to numerous ideas that made our project better than we possibly could imagine. His communication method which included daily updates on a user friendly app were much appreciated and really put us to ease that the project was moving forward. Tim was a true pleasure to work with and went above and beyond with his expertise and utmost care in handling the entire project. We are already planning in the future to work with him again!
We worked with Tim Kelly of Apres Build on the addition to our home in Summit Park, Park City. We went into this project with a dream we have had for over a decade. Our love of design, modern architecture, and clean aesthetics was embraced and matched by Tim. He not only honored all of our design goals of building a beautiful, passive house addition, but he became someone we completely trusted. Tim understood the aspects of working in the mountains and the obstacles that may come from that. We started the project with a major issue- flooding in our crawlspace from spring runoff. Instead of masking the problem with sump pumps, Tim found where the water was backing up and provided a complete solution. While this is not something you see when you look at the completed project, this is one of the highlights for us because this is a lifelong solution which will no longer be a yearly issue for us. Tim recommended siding that we absolutely love, he designed custom window bucks to match our aesthetic, and he meticulously thought out each element. Nothing was done in the building process "just because." Everything had a specific reason, and Tim took the time to thoroughly explain it all. Tim has an acute attention to detail, and if he doesn't know something immediately, he will by the next morning. I am so thankful we trusted our project with Apres Build. To me, one of the most important traits to have is trust. With Tim, we 100% trusted his opinion, his word, and his incredible craftsmanship. We would absolutely work with him again.
Tim is a stand up, Honest guy! He gave us some free cabinets from a project that requires demolition of an existing property. He even spent time with me on the phone giving me advice on installation and as part time contractor, he even gave me great advice to grow my business and find success. Not many other contractors in the trade who are willing to help out strangers or spend their quality time helping others like that. Definitely that kind of contractor I want to aspire to be like or use on my own projects! Keep up the good work.
Tim has helped me with two projects- once, a simple reinforcement of a damaged joist in our attic, and the second time he and his team fully rebuilt our old, damaged carport. Tim did a great job of consulting with me and making recommendations based on his expertise. He gave me options to keep the project within my budget, and the quality of their work has proven to be excellent. I would highly recommend working with them on any project!
