Hey there! We're a husband and wife photography team based in Utah – just a laid back couple who adore the outdoors and are passionate about adventure-packed weddings. We're big believers that saying 'I do' to your partner amidst the beauty of the outdoors is pure magic. Our role? Beyond capturing every second of your wedding day, we're your partners from start to finish. We're not only your photographers; we're also your elopement planners, local guides, and ceremony officiants. As Utah locals for more than a decade, we're excited to share the most beautiful places we've discovered after years of exploring the backroads. We live in a mountain town called Park City, our basecamp. Yet, we're always on the move, exploring for destination weddings across Wyoming, Montana, Southern Utah and all over the West. We're here to ensure your wedding day is free from stress, reflecting your genuine self. Stephan and Leti at Backcountry Portraits were awesome to work with for our elopement! Right from the start, they helped us map out the itinerary for the day, and their patience and flexibility made the whole process easy. They brought a great, calming energy to the day that kept things relaxed, but they also took charge when it came to suggesting good shots and locations. We can’t overstate what a great experience we had working with Stefan and Leti. We knew we wanted to get married in our home mountains in Utah, we knew we wanted to be away from the crowds, and since it was winter… we knew it had to be on skis. Starting with a consultation video call last Fall, they assured us they were up for a backcountry adventure. Since then, Utah has experienced a historically low-snow year, but that didn’t stop them from helping us manifest our dream day— Stephan and Leti had excellent site locations (which they scouted multiple times *this season*) and incorporated our feedback. They helped us find a great Airbnb near our touring site to stay in and get ready at, and they helped us plan a full day that was so beautiful and fulfilling and authentic to us. They made super fun and capable touring partners, and they quickly felt like good friends. Leti officiated our marriage and shared such meaningful words. And…THE PHOTOS! Our Sneak Peaks were delivered within 24 hours (!) and included over 100 of the most incredible photos that captured the story of our day and the grandeur of the place we love. We were easily able to share the gallery with our family so they could get a glimpse of our extraordinary day. We’re so grateful and glad we found Backcountry Portraits!
Stefan and Leti are amazing! From the first meeting, they were very welcoming and made us feel so comfortable. They were incredibly helpful in finding the perfect location for us, which was especially important since we don't live in the area. On our wedding day, they captured unreal photos with the perfect lighting and backdrop. We continually stare at them in awe! We highly recommend Backcountry for a beautiful and stress-free elopement!
