Such a beautiful hike, especially with the fall colors! The incline definitely gets your heart pumping, but the views make it so worth it. The aspen foliage was stunning, with vibrant yellow aspen leaves mixed in with the green pines. It made the whole trail feel like a postcard! We arrived around 10 AM to an empty parking lot, but by the time we finished, it had gotten pretty busy. Definitely recommend getting there early to enjoy a quieter hike. Such a great spot to soak in Utah’s fall beauty! 🍂🏔️

A moderate hike if you’re not very experienced on hiking. And it also takes longer if you’re photographing a lot. We took it slowly and ends up spending around three hours here. And the scenery was very beautiful. Note: you can do a loop thru Loopine route.

We hiked to the top of Crawford peak and back. The last mile is very difficult. Be in great shape if you do it. Beautiful 360 views await at the top.

We began our hike around 11am with our two kiddos (ages 12 & 10) and we were back to the car by 12:30p after pausing at the lake to enjoy the beauty and play in some of the remaining crunchy/icy snow. The trail to the lake was relatively steep, but the return loop on the other side was easy. It was slightly muddy on the return loop due to snow melting. There was a sign that communicated there was “extreme mud” on the trail, but we didn’t encounter that. Our kiddos were tired by the end as there are a few switchbacks as you make your way back to the parking lot. The trails are well maintained and it looks like there will be a plethora of lupine in the lower area come early July. We experienced other pretty wildflowers all throughout the hike. I would have rated the trail a 5, but paying $5 per hour for parking and not having any other options was not our favorite.

Paid at the kiosk at the trail head. It’s $5/hr on weekdays $8 weekends. The hike takes about 1.5 hours to complete but we added extra time to hang out by the lake. Easy hike. Many different ages seen hiking it and dogs accompanied several families. Beautiful area, I loved all the beautiful stone benches with quotes.
