Not a lot of parking but an excellent place to watch the sun set. It does get cold and has some steep grades so make sure you have good brakes and use a low gear
Not for the faint of heart. If you cant keep your car in your side of the road, save a life, DON'T go up. There are plenty of great views without the risk. That said, awsome pass. With some great views. No stopping for most of it, and some good sized parking spots for some trails. Ill save you the drive those who have too large a vehicle (or no sense of your dimensions) just look at the pics I posted.
Little tough of a drive with the altitude gain and sharp turns, but definitely worth it. View was amazing! Small handful of parking spots available here.
What we got to see was beautiful. But the road was closed after 30 minutes of going up. I had even called the UDot office and was told it was open so the way. Gorgeous but frustrating to have to turn around.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Guardsmans Pass Overlook – A Must-See in the Wasatch! This overlook is an absolute must if you’re visiting Park City or exploring the Wasatch Mountains. The views are jaw-dropping—lush green valleys, dense forests, and endless mountain peaks stretching into the horizon. It’s the kind of place that makes you stop, breathe deep, and just take it all in. It’s easily accessible by car (though the road can be narrow and winding), and there’s enough space to pull off and enjoy the scenery safely. Great for a quick photo stop or as a starting point for longer hikes and bike rides along the Wasatch Crest Trail. Pro tip: Go during golden hour or just after sunrise—pure magic. It’s open 24/7, so it’s also a serene stargazing spot if you’re up for a nighttime adventure. 📍 Guardsman Pass Rd, Park City, UT 84060 🕓 Open 24 hours 🥾 Ideal for: Sightseeing, hiking, biking, and photography 🌟 This one is a must.
