Soul Builders SLC

A dream kitchen upgrade for our historic Salt Lake home from Soul Builders! After years of planning this remodel, we finally pulled the trigger with Soul Builders earlier this spring. This was our first experience hiring a general contractor for a home remodel and we had an excellent experience working with Eden. At every stage of the project, he worked efficiently with subcontractors to get our project completed in a timely manner. When problems arose with either the contractors or the idiosyncrasies of our old house, he did not hesitate to remedy the situation or pivot in a new direction. As the designer of the kitchen who had a very specific vision in mind for each finish detail, Soul Builders worked with us to accomplish every customization to our liking. While they offer their own design services, having this flexibility was especially appealing to us when looking for a GC. We have been in the new kitchen a little over a month now and are loving the substantial upgrade from the cheap particle board and beige tile kitchen. Could not recommend the company more!

We hired Soul Builders SLC for work in our home and unfortunately experienced significant issues regarding both the quality of the work performed and the way issues were handled afterward. While our flooring became the most significant issue, it was not the only concern. Throughout the project, we encountered quality issues in multiple areas of the home and felt the work was rushed. We also felt our concerns were not always taken seriously, despite repeatedly raising them and making every effort to work collaboratively with Elad and his team. After installation, we began experiencing significant problems with the flooring. The flooring itself was selected based on the contractor's recommendation, and we relied on their expertise throughout the process. When we raised concerns, an initial repair attempt involved gluing portions of the floor down, which we were later informed by other flooring professionals was not an appropriate solution and voided our flooring’s warranty. As issues continued to worsen, we ultimately consulted multiple flooring professionals and hired an independent inspector, all of whom concluded that the flooring had not been installed according to manufacturer requirements. Most concerning was learning that the subfloor had not been cleaned and prepared at all prior to installation, despite being assured that it had been. The independent inspection found nails, staples, and other debris underneath the flooring. We were also informed that proper subfloor preparation is a fundamental part of a quality flooring installation and is necessary to meet manufacturer standards. After providing the inspection findings and working for nearly a year toward a resolution, we were ultimately advised to reuse damaged planks and purchase any replacements ourselves. We were also told that proper subfloor preparation was outside the scope of the contract, despite it being a fundamental part of a successful installation. At no point were we informed that additional preparation should be done before the flooring was installed. We hired professionals because we trusted them to recommend appropriate products, perform the work according to industry standards, and communicate any issues that could affect the outcome. Due to their poor workmanship, there is now a lot of work that needs to be redone at our expense. We are hoping to reach a fair resolution, but based on our experience we would encourage others to proceed carefully, ask detailed questions about installation standards and project scope, and thoroughly research contractors before hiring.

We had a great experience working with the team from Soul Builders on a bathroom remodel. Yehuda was an excellent project manager, extremely prompt with communication, organized, and brought a great positive energy. They completed our project in a timely manner and work was high quality.

Soul Builders did a fantastic job on our master bathroom remodel, and we are extremely happy with the final result. From the beginning, the team was professional, organized, and easy to work with. They helped guide the project through each stage and made what could have been a stressful remodel feel much more manageable. Our main point of contact was Eden Gabay, and he was excellent throughout the entire process. Eden was responsive, communicative, and attentive to the details that mattered to us. He kept us informed, helped answer questions along the way, and made sure the project stayed on track. We really appreciated having someone we could rely on to coordinate the work and make sure things were handled properly. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were very strong. The bathroom turned out beautifully, and the finished space feels clean, updated, and well-built. It is clear that Soul Builders takes pride in their work, and the end result reflects that. Overall, we had a very positive experience with Soul Builders and would gladly recommend them to anyone considering a bathroom remodel or home renovation project in the Salt Lake area. Eden and the team delivered a high-quality result and made the process smooth from start to finish.

Soul Builders built our ADU and the experience was amazing from start to finish. The entire team was professional, respectful, and incredibly easy to work with. Communication was clear the whole way through, and we always felt informed and taken care of. A big part of what made this project so great was the supervisor — truly the best construction experience we’ve ever had. They were attentive, organized, and always made sure things were done right. It was also a real pleasure working with Elad and his team who was professional, responsive, and genuinely cared about making sure everything came out perfectly. Anytime we had a question or concern, it was handled quickly and thoroughly. The quality of the work speaks for itself, and the finished ADU turned out even better than we imagined. I would absolutely recommend Soul Builders to anyone looking for a smooth, well-managed, high-quality construction project.
