If I could give Sushi by Scratch 10 stars, I absolutely would. As someone from Texas, I’m incredibly spoiled when it comes to amazing sushi and omakase experiences, so my expectations were already high. Somehow, Sushi by Scratch completely blew my mind. Every single course was beautifully executed, incredibly fresh, and so thoughtfully curated. You can tell the chefs genuinely love what they do—their attention to detail, creativity, and interaction throughout the experience made the evening unforgettable. The entire staff was warm, welcoming, and made us feel like we were guests in their home rather than just another reservation. From the first bite to the last, every piece somehow topped the one before it. The intimate setting, the storytelling behind each course, and the passion of the chefs made this one of the best dining experiences. If you’re in Park City or Deer Valley, this is an absolute must. I walked in with high expectations and left completely blown away. I can’t wait to come back. Utah needed this gem and they finally have it 👏.
This place is special. We loved it. Chef Josh and the other chefs are so good at what they do. They helped us feel welcomed and comfortable and made the best sushi. It’s a very intimate setting that wasn’t intimidating at all. Thank you for making it such a fun experience for my wife and I.
Ah what a treat! Chef Austin was right in front of us and watching him prep each piece was a real treat. Asia was our server and made sure our sake glass was full from beginning to the end! The head chef was informative, and everything was excellently executed. Will definitely be back!
Incredible 16 course omakase dinner. Chef Josh led the service and was incredibly knowledgeable and served us some of the best bites I’ve ever had. We went for a birthday dinner and had an incredible and memorable experience. This is absolutely worth it for a special occasion. Very social setting if you came with a smaller party, bring your own sake if you like but they had some great selections as well. Thank you for the amazing time!!
We had the most amazing experience and can’t recommend it enough. The service from the pre-dinner canapé and cocktail to the main service was exceptional. The sushi chefs were fantastic and engaging and the food was out of this world. Thank you Sung for a night to remember! I would give 10 stars if I could.
