I am sad to write this review because White Pine has been my go-to vet for a while due to how close they are to home, and I truly liked the receptionists and vet techs there. However, after my experience this past Thursday, I won't be returning. I brought my cat in for severe constipation, and he received an enema, which was unfortunately completely unsuccessful, and while I know it may take two enemas, this doctor had my cat sedated which put him in a daze for hours and hours, and the new doctor didn’t have to sedate him. The doctor on shift was an interim, stand-in doctor I had never met before, and the clinic closed early that day due to doctor shortages. To make matters worse, I left without receiving copies of his X-rays or an invoice, and despite asking, they were never sent to my email. Leaving with an unchanged, sick animal and zero paperwork left me incredibly anxious. After two days of no progress, my instincts told me I needed a second opinion, so I took him to Bark City Vet. They were able to safely repeat the procedure without sedation, and it was a complete success. When it comes to your fur baby, you have to trust your gut and listen to your instincts. I truly appreciate the support staff here, but due to the failed procedure, a rotating door of doctors, and a lack of communication follow-through, I will be switching clinics.

Staff and doctors are great. Appointment was easy to make and they got me in next day. I brought my cat with an abcess and my dog for vaccines. They took care of both with care and warmth. Both are doing great today!

I cannot recommend this place enough! They are wonderful. I was traveling with a dog from out of town and late in the afternoon became concerned for bloat. Despite the fact that they were near the end of their work day, they immediately agree to see her as a walk in emergency appointment. They were unbelievably kind, competent and thorough. Not only did they rule out the emergency possibility, they continued with diagnostics and treatment of what turned out to be a non-emergent condition. They stayed well past their normal work hours to provide excellent care

I needed a vet while traveling with my fur baby. I am thankful this place got me in on short notice. They took excellent care of my dog Ellie and I! They were patient understanding and thorough. Friendly and efficient service. Thank you White Pine Vet!

Dr. Bennett and Dr. Mauer are amazing. I’ve been taking my animals there now for about four years. They have been super helpful and caring to my aging dog and now helping me out with my kitties. I go out of my way (as I live in Layton) to take my animals there because I’ve been so impressed with their care. I highly recommend this facility and everyone that works there.
