Beautiful drive up and amazing 360° view
Beautiful views ! Just a short drive up the mountain. We will definitely be back.
Empire Pass Overlook is a stunning scenic spot near the top of Empire Pass, sitting at nearly 9,600 feet in the Deer Valley Resort area. It's a perfect place to pull over, stretch your legs, and soak in the sweeping mountain views. There's adequate free parking available in an adjacent dirt lot, and the walk to the viewpoint is easy and flat, making it accessible for most visitors. The overlook sits at the end of a short gravel path, making it a popular stop for scenic drives (especially in the summer and fall when the foliage and mountain vistas are at their best). Just be aware that roads to Empire Pass may close seasonally due to snow, so plan accordingly if visiting in winter. Whether you're on a leisurely drive through the mountains or just looking for a quick photo stop, Empire Pass Overlook is a beautiful, easy-to-access spot that captures the majesty of the Park City area. This isn't worth a detour but it certainly is worth a short stop if you're driving up that way.

We were touring with a group in elevation appropriate vehicles — stopped here for the group to take photos and see first hand significant landmarks. We toured on a partly cloudy day when it began raining — but the views and vistas were still stunning.
