Best experience I’ve had at a salon in a long time! Abbie was amazing. My hair held all night, it didn’t fall or lose shape. Highly recommend.

I ve been coming to this place for a while and i was getting a haircut every 3 months with the same stylist. 2 weeks ago i went to get bangs and to trim the split ends. I got the worst bangs of my life. Way too short, uneven. The bags were not blended with the rest of the haircut. I went back a week ago to try to fix them somehow. All my coworkers told me how uneven they looked. I had to pay again to get my bangs somehow fixed. They still look bad and are uneven. Disappointing experience. I am gonna look for another saloon.

When I arrived, I explained what I was looking for which was covering the regrowth, and Annika seemed to understand, saying it "sounded easy." She began applying foils then started removing them almost immediately after placing them. I politely asked whether my hair had lifted enough, as I'm usually placed under a dryer for 10-15 minutes to process. She replied, "I'm really slow at foils, so you should be ready." After rinsing, I could tell something was off right away--my hair looked significantly darker than before. When it came time for styling, I asked for a big, bouncy blowout, but instead my hair was dried mostly by hand with her raking her fingers through my hair, with only a few sections near my face touched up with a round brush. The result was brown, frizzy, and flat. When I expressed concern--especially since my hair appeared about four shades darker and still had a clear line where my roots were--she said, "This is what I had time for today. Sorry your hair didn't lift enough." It honestly feels like instead of lightening my roots, she darkened the rest of my hair to try to blend them. The front desk booked with a color correction specialist, which tells me it was clear that something went wrong. I am attaching photos--they really show how far off the result is from what I expected. I also noticed a $30 charge for "an extra bowl of color" which seems to be a theme throughout every review I am reading. I would not care about this if my hair had not ended up brown. And to answer the question- yes I paid full price and gave a 18% tip. After being booked with a color correction specialist I received 3 messages - 2 texts and 1 email - stating they had my credit card on file and that if I did not cancel within the 48 hour period I would be charged full price for services. I am not even sure what they charge for color correction- when they booked me they did not quote a price for how much they planned to charge me to fix my hair.

So, ive been thinking for about a month if I should leave a review or not and ive decided, I probably should. My overall experience with this location is just that it lacks professionalism. I didnt mind hearing screamo music or rap playing, but other clients might not appreciate that. I didnt mind the side conversations while my hair was being worked on, but sometimes I was listening to you talk about other clients that you didnt like and weren't really saying nice things about. That came across as unprofessional. The one that really pushed me to cancel my appointments and find somewhere else to go was when my stylist, carmen, was talking to another client next to me about the satanic temple and being able to get an abortion if they joined it. You never know what someone else's beliefs are. Im a Christian and I won't tell others what to believe in, but I was just taken aback by it and found it very inappropriate and not professional. There were other clients sitting next to me while this conversation was going on and Im sure they heard too. It was uncomfortable. She really did good at doing my hair for the most part and she made me laugh alot, but I think some conversations should be left out when doing a clients hair. I also felt like I didnt really get much info on what to do with my hair. Many times I asked for her professional advice and I couldn't ever get a straight answer. I needed a little help and felt like I didnt really get that. One last thing to add, my stylist would smell like cigarettes every time she washed my hair. I could tell she went out to smoke while I was processing. I dont really care all that much because i used to smoke, but it was another thing I found pretty unprofessional and could see other people not liking.

2nd time coming to this salon as I am only in the area seasonally. They did a great job w my blonde full highlights, but my stylist added on multiple additional charges without telling me! One was for an extra bowl of color ($50, I guess since my hair is longer) and second was for my root smudge. I expected the total to be about $125 as they told me on the phone for a Jr Stylist but it ended up being $260 after tax and tip. I just wish there was more transparency during the process! This did not happen to me last time I got my hair done here. Would not have done the $60 root smudge if I had known the cost ! Also took 4+ hours when the “full highlight” listing says only 180 minutes (3 hours). Before pic attached below for reference on how long my hair is (since that seemed to add 1.5 hrs to my appt as well as the $50 charge)
