Excellent river. Both guides were great, but not sure why we only fished in one spot all morning. I know we had 2 beginner fisherman and I’m sure it was easier for the guides, but for myself, I’ve never been with a guide that didn’t explore more options. My wife did very well, catching 11 fish. I caught 2. Maybe the river was too crowded to move around, but that was never mentioned. I would rate this trip 5 out of 10. Their knowledge was good, teaching and helping 7/10, professionalism 10/10. Time on the water 3/10. This was the shortest 1/2 day ever. I’ve fished with many guide services all across the country.
I had my first fly fishing experience last week. My guide was so much fun to hang out with and so helpful. Shout out to my guide Scott! I did end up falling in the river shortly after we started our trip when I slipped on a rock haha. My guide was so nice about it and helped me get dried off and back to our adventure. I ended up catching two fish on my own after his demo! He was so attentive and ensured that I understood everything he was saying. I highly recommend learning how to fly fish with this company. I loved it so much that I want to get my own fly fishing setup sometime.

**Five stars doesn't do it justice.** I went out this morning for my very first fly fishing experience on the Provo River, and I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation I had. My guide James was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived at the river, everything felt first class — the equipment was top-notch, the setting was breathtaking, and James had a way of making a complete beginner feel like they belonged out there. His instruction was clear, patient, and genuinely encouraging without ever being condescending. He has an obvious mastery of his craft, and that confidence is contagious. What made the experience truly memorable wasn't just catching fish on the Provo — it was the way James turned what could have been an intimidating morning into something I'll be talking about for years. He read the river like a book, put me in the right spots, and cheered every small win like it was the catch of a lifetime. my wife and i booked a drift boat trip on the Upper Section of the Green River in wyoming and had the pleasure of being guided by Jake Smith. my wife didn't fish but enjoyed a nice day floating through some beautiful landscapes. I had an incredible day of fishing, thanks to Jake for being patient with some of my self taught bad habits. i told him i wanted to catch some cutthroat on big dry flies and jake made those dreams come true. beautiful float surrounded by nature: we saw pronghorn, eagles, night hawks, and even an otter. we were staying in park city and we thought the day trip there and back was a very easy scenic drive. i hope i get the opportunity to book another float with jake in the future.
