This was a last minute game for my mom and I, and it was the first time both of us have tried an escape room. We did the easiest room and it was really fun! Mason was our host and Dane was our game master, and they both were very helpful and excited that we defied the odds and were able to escape. I will definitely be coming back to try some harder rooms!
Thanks for creating, escape rooms. They are a great way to stimulate one's mind and test your ability to work as a team to find the necessary clues to solve the puzzles. It was a great experience and my team will definitely return for another chance to make it all the way through this time.
My wife and I love escape rooms and have done quite a few of them around the world. So, during our vacation to Seattle, we decided it would be fitting to do an escape here. After some recommendations and google searching, we chose Puzzle Break and we weren't disappointed! The staff (Rhet, Briar, and Mason) were extremely welcoming and fantastic to talk to! They set us up with a room (Mystic Manor) and explained both the rules and the story very well! The room it self was really immersive and really transported you to that era! The puzzles were very well thought out and so much fun to complete! The two of us were the only ones in the room and we finished with 19 minutes and 36 seconds remaining, I dare you to come, play and beat our time!
This place is a total Seattle escape room classic—and you can tell in the best way. These are some of the oldest escape rooms in the city (if not the oldest), and while the furniture is very old and you won’t find flashy, high-tech puzzles here, that’s honestly part of the charm. There aren’t a ton of drawers or cabinets to open (many are clearly screwed shut), but the rooms are thoughtfully designed with cool items, clever puzzles, and a really fun flow. If you’re expecting sleek, modern tech everywhere, this might not be your vibe—but if you love classic escape room problem-solving and immersive themes, you’ll have a great time. I did two rooms back to back and had a blast. Escape the red manor was a good warm up followed up with Escape the World’s Fair. Saved the best for last. Huge shoutout to our game host Mindy—she was fantastic—and Neo at the front desk was incredibly accommodating and welcoming. Already planning to come back and escape the other two rooms. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates old-school escape rooms done right.
This was our first visit to Puzzle Break and it was lovely! We did the puppeteer room which had a delightful collection of puzzles and a great atmosphere! This is a room that has thoughtful little touches and props everywhere. There is so much to see and look at that you will be distracted from the puzzles by all the cool artistic props, displays and art. The game masters, Riley and Sinnie, were wonderful to work with, they had a great humor and answered all our questions. They let us have unlimited hints if we wanted but were not pushy at all. We really appreciated the personalized touches and attention to our needs. Also, the lounge room has a ton a puzzles and cool things to look at while you wait for your room. Puzzle Break was about $35 a person which made it much more affordable than some rooms and the offer a repeat customer discount if you book another room before you leave. The offer is good for one year so it is pretty easy to take advantage of if you are in the area. Also, the proximity to Pikes Place Market is great for lunch or a stroll through downtown which makes it a real treat when you are visiting from out of town.
