This is where I asked my wife to marry me!! The setting at the base of the mountain and the music and lights made for even more fun and the fact that it was snowing made it the perfect night! Will forever have a place in our hearts. Big shout out to the girl working and letting us stay later on the ice because I was too afraid to ask until after it closed and music cut off.
Great little rink! The staff were very helpful and the rink wasn't too crowded--at mid-week there were only 2-5 people on the ice in the afternoons, though around the weekend it got busier. It is an outdoor rink in partial sun, so on warmer days the ice gets a little soft, but they resurfaced it regularly.
Wife and I recently visited. Smaller-sized outdoor rink in a neat location at the resort center. Ice was well maintained and check-in process was very easy. Staff was personable. One of my skates felt a bit funny at first and I was able to quickly and easily exchange it for a different one, which worked great. Overall very fun!
The experience would’ve been better if the staff wasn’t so rude. We paid for admission + rentals and received a pair of really dull skates (could barely stand up). It happens. When we went to exchange them, they brought another pair of extremely dull skates. I asked if they could quickly sharpen them while we waited, she told me 10 minutes. Not a problem at all, so we waited. Came back after 15 minutes, and the lady very sternly told me “we’re too busy to sharpen skates, take these, these should be fine”. Ok? You didn’t want to tell me that before making me wait? I know those girls don’t get paid enough to care, but we were extremely nice when asking and even felt bad to even ask for new skates. Not really how you’d hope to be treated, especially when you’re paying for that experience. Anyway, overall, great place to enjoy a fun activity. In the grand scheme of things, it doesn’t matter. But keep those skates sharpened is what I’d recommend. Or just buy one of those magic stick skate sharpeners, I would’ve been happy to do it myself. Takes 30 seconds.
We had the most magical time ice skating here! The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rink was decorated beautifully for the holidays. I was especially pleased they had fire pits by the couches to keep warm! We can’t wait to visit again!
