The Salt Lake City International Airport is one of the most impressive airports I’ve traveled through. It’s bright, modern, and exceptionally clean, with beautiful architecture and plenty of natural light. Even though it’s a large airport, the layout is intuitive, and the signage makes it easy to find your way. One of my favorite features was the thoughtful design throughout the terminal. From the striking blue-lit pedestrian tunnel to the dinosaur fossil display and colorful public art, the airport feels more like a museum than a transportation hub. There are also excellent dining options, including local favorites, and plenty of comfortable seating areas. The walk between some gates can be long, but the moving walkways help, and the journey is enjoyable because of the spacious design and interesting artwork along the way. The rental car center is conveniently connected, making arrivals and departures seamless. I would happily fly through Salt Lake City again.
We love Utah! Our check in was at 3 AM. So we had no sleep 😴. Not a slow morning but very productive. Security was pretty good 👍 . Thanks to the workers that made it happen day for us to check in our luggage’s and boards passes. Then coming back home was pretty smooth as well. We were so glad to be back home to Utah!! We flew first class to Nashville TN. We love Nashville. Had a great time but Utah is a beautiful state it’s a welcoming place and clean, not humidity and rainy or muddy 😉
I travel quite often and really enjoyed this airport. It is one of the cleanest and most well-organized airports in the States, comparable to LGA, which is rare to see. The two concourses are quite long and may be challenging for some travelers to navigate, but they offer a wide variety of restaurants and shops that make the experience enjoyable. The interiors are well-designed and spotless. Even the TSA area was clean, efficiently organized, and staffed with friendly, helpful personnel. I have never had such an experience at other U.S. airports. Additionally, the AMEX Centurion lounge here stands out from those in other airports, offering one of the best lounge experiences I’ve had. I would highly recommend travelers visit this lounge.
The new airport is great. Lots of terrific art installations, local and national restaurants to choose from. The TSA touch-less Pre-check was very easy to get through. Rental car return super easy. I will say it’s a very LONG walk to terminal B. If you have a hard time walking (think elderly parents), it’s best to ask for a ride in the cat. If you are a slow walker, it could take you 15-20 min to walk. If you are a fast walker, probably about 7 min. I gave a 4 star because of the long distance. (BTW- the restrooms are clean and well maintained. Nice job Salt Lake Airport authority.)
Salt Lake City International Airport is one of the most impressive and well-organized airports I have experienced. The airport is modern, spacious, and exceptionally clean, making travel smooth and stress-free from the moment you arrive. The layout is intuitive with clear signage, and even though the terminals are expansive, moving around is easy with well-planned walkways and efficient connections. Security screening is well managed, with courteous and professional staff who ensure safety while keeping wait times reasonable. The airport offers a wide variety of dining and shopping options, ranging from quick bites to quality sit-down restaurants, many of which highlight local Utah flavors. Seating areas are comfortable and thoughtfully designed, with ample charging points for travelers. The staff across the airport—whether at information desks, security, or airlines—are consistently helpful and polite, adding to the overall positive experience. Clean restrooms, plenty of natural light, and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains further enhance the ambience. Overall, Salt Lake City International Airport sets a high standard for efficiency, comfort, and traveler convenience. It is a world-class airport that makes both arrivals and departures a genuinely pleasant experience. Highly recommended
