Owner Mitchel Rickard grew up in Honesdale, PA, working his family's stone yard and farm. While skiing brought him to Utah for college, the mountains made him stay. To master the local terrain, Mitchel earned a Heavy Equipment Operator Certificate (USU Eastern) and a Western Horticulture Certificate (University of Utah). After a season in Lake Tahoe, he returned home to the Wasatch to launch Stone Works. Now in our third season, we are proud to help Cottonwood Heights neighbors transform their properties. Mitch with Stone Works helped me fix my ancient sprinkler system and set up a drip line for my new garden beds! He is very knowledgeable and was able to creatively innovate ways to make my old system work again. Highly recommend!
I hired Stone Works last fall to completely overhaul and redo my backyard, around 1,000 sqft. I highly suggest working with these guys. They did my whole yard in a very professional, timely, and affordable way. Mitch and his team busted it out through heat, dust, and took all sorts issues that arose in stride. Mitch took my landscaping concept and brought it to life, installing amazing stone/ gravel paths, a square of grass, and over a hundred drought resistant pollinator plants as well as an insane amount of top soil and an irrigation system. It's an amazing space and would never have gotten done without Stone Works. Mitch has come by and made sure everything is running smoothly, six months later. I highly suggest them.
