Let’s Clear the Record, Matt. C’mon now, Matt. Let’s look at the actual facts of what happened before you try to lecture me or my friend on "manhood" and "integrity" from your Google Reviews soapbox. First of all, my friend made a simple mistake and openly admitted to it. He didn't sneak around. The second your manager brought it up, he literally offered to pay the difference for the drink right then and there. If he was trying to pull off some grand heist, a "thief" wouldn't immediately try to settle the bill. Your manager dismissed a paying customer's honest attempt to correct a mistake just so he could keep aggressively pressing and embarrassing us in front of a full dining room. That isn't "standing up for your business," it’s just flat out bullying. Second, your response is completely unhinged for a business owner. I actually left a fair, balanced review. I literally gave your food a 5/5 and your atmosphere a 5/5. I wasn't trying to tear your business down; I was giving you honest, critical feedback about an employee who crossed the line from customer service into outright hostility. Instead of acting like a professional leader, you chose to publicly insult me, call me a child, and try to blackmail me into deleting my feedback. If anyone lacks accountability here, it’s you. You’d rather pick a fight online and call your guests names than admit your staff handled a two dollar cup of lemonade with zero grace. My review is staying up, and your public meltdown is the only thing that's actually embarrassing for The Bagel Den. Check your ego, Hank
As an East Coaster who takes bagels seriously, Sunday means one thing: bagels and lox. Hoping for a real New York experience, I gave The Bagel Den a try and ordered my usual on a pumpernickel bagel. The results were a mixed bag. The Good: The texture of the bagel itself was actually spot-on—perfectly authentic chew. It came toasted with a decent amount of schmear, the appropriate amount of capers, and nice, fresh tomato and onion slices. The Not-So-Good: The flavor of the pumpernickel was incredibly strange. It tasted like there was sugar baked into the dough. I actually kept staring at it trying to figure out if they had accidentally given me a cinnamon raisin bagel minus the raisins. On top of the weirdly sweet bread, the lox portion was incredibly minimalistic. The Verdict: Instead of a true NY nosh, it tasted like standard suburb food. It wasn’t awful, but it didn't hit the mark. I’ll be sticking to Feldman's when I need my fix.
As a native New Yorker i take my bagels seriously. Well the Bagel Den delivered. Delicious bagel with veggie cream cheese. I met Devon, he and his dad started the business so I was happy to support this small business. Check it out when you’re in town you won’t be disappointed.
The food was great the atmosphere was fantastic but one of the staff was very rude to us. We were enjoying our meals a very rude employee came up to us and was extremely aggressive. He started pressing my friend about a simple mistake. And embarrassed us. I can only assume he was a manager. Instead of talking to us in an understanding way he starts pressing us, and belittling my friend. All he did was get lemonade in a water cup. He even offered to pay for his mistake but the rude employee dismissed him. Please treat your customers better.
The Bagel Den in Park City has become our favorite breakfast spot in town. We have referred numerous friends in town due the the delicious menu options (try the veggie breakfast sandwich with everything bagel, add some hummus and 3 eggs!) fantastic coffee and tea and especially the pleasant atmosphere and always incredible service. We love the food and coffee, but the service is what brings us back at least once a week every week. DEVIN IS THE MAN! He always is a friendly and welcoming host, full of information and wears a permanent smile. He makes the Bagel Den the best and friendliest breakfast spot in Park City. Make sure you ask for him.
