Main Street provides the quintessential Park City experience—historic architecture, walkable dining and shopping, and the vibrant energy that defines our town's character. Staying in or near this area places you at the heart of the community, with access to restaurants, galleries, shops, and nightlife without requiring transportation.

Main Street is also where many of the outdoor festivals are headquartered, landing you in the middle of the excitement. These include the Park Silly Sunday Market, Savor The Summit, and the Park City Kimball Arts Festival.

Boutique and Standard Hotels

Washington School House: This restored 1889 schoolhouse now operates as an intimate luxury property. The historic character, ski valet service, and heated pool create a distinctive experience steps from Main Street.

Treasure Mountain Inn: A well-established property offering hotel rooms and larger units with kitchens. The location provides immediate Main Street access at accessible price points.

Main & Sky Lodge: Positioned at the top of Main Street with rooftop hot tubs and modern amenities. The location works well for those who want walkability while staying slightly removed from the busiest blocks.

Marriott’s Summit Watch: Located next to the Town Lift on lower Main Street, rooms range from  intimate guest rooms to spacious one- or two-bedroom villas with full kitchens, fireplaces, and separate dining and living areas. The Summit Watch is ideal for families or groups that want the flexibility of cooking-in or dining out.

What to consider: Main Street properties book early during ski season and events—plan ahead for peak periods.

Local Insight: Confirm parking arrangements before booking—Old Town's historic core has limited options. The free trolley runs the length of Main Street if you're staying at the top and want to reach restaurants below. Fall and spring offer the best rates.

Vacation Rentals

Numerous condominiums and historic homes within Old Town are available as vacation rentals. These properties range from compact units to substantial homes accommodating groups. The walkable location suits visitors prioritizing shopping, nightlife, dining, and the Main Street experience.

What to ask about: Parking arrangements, which can be limited in Old Town's historic core.

The Trade-Off

Main Street lodging prioritizes location and walkability over ski-in/ski-out access. The Town Lift at Park City Mountain provides slope access from Main Street, though it's not the same as slopeside lodging at resort bases.

Consider whether your priority is Main Street's character and convenience or immediate mountain access when choosing a location.

Common Questions

Quick answers to help you plan your Park City trip.

Accommodation

Where should I stay in Park City?

It depends on priorities. Main Street offers walkable dining and nightlife. Ski-in/ski-out lodging maximizes slope time. Canyons Village is newer with resort amenities. Deer Valley is upscale and quieter.

Should I stay ski-in/ski-out or on Main Street?

Ski-in/ski-out saves time on the slopes but limits evening options. Main Street offers better dining and nightlife but requires transport to ski. Consider what matters more: maximizing ski time or the full town experience.
