Wellness & Fitness in Park City

Park City's active culture extends beyond outdoor adventure into comprehensive wellness offerings. From world-class resort spas to boutique fitness studios, the town provides infrastructure for maintaining physical wellbeing alongside—or instead of—the more demanding mountain activities.

Resort Spas

The luxury resorts maintain spa facilities that rank among the finest in North America. Montage Deer Valley, St. Regis, Stein Eriksen Lodge, Waldorf Astoria Park City, Hotel Park City, and Westgate Park City offer comprehensive treatment menus, pools, and relaxation spaces with mountain views.

Day spa access is typically available to non-guests, though treatments should be booked in advance.

What to ask about: Package options that combine multiple treatments or include facility access beyond treatment time.

Local Insight: Book spa treatments for mid-trip rather than your last day—recovery after consecutive ski or biking days makes the following time more enjoyable. Resort spas accept outside guests, but book at least a week ahead during ski season and holidays.

Fitness Studios

Park City supports a variety of fitness studios offering yoga, Pilates, cycling, and specialized training. The local population's active lifestyle creates demand for quality instruction that visitors can access on a drop-in basis. For yoga-specific options, see our yoga and fitness guide.

The Park City MARC (Municipal Athletic Recreation Center) provides public access to swimming, climbing walls, and fitness equipment at reasonable daily rates.

Basin Recreation offers daily passes to their weight rooms, track, cardio area, pool, and hot tub.  The pass also gives you access to Open Play where you can join a facility sport without having to be part of a league or group.

Silver Mountain Sports Club & Spa provides a single day pass or multi-visit punch pass which gives you access to all the club facilities and the Group Fitness Classes. This pass also includes access to the large outdoor pool during the summer months.

Additionally, many hotels maintain fitness facilities available to guests.

Recovery Services

Mountain activities take physical tolls. Massage therapy, cryotherapy, and recovery-focused services help visitors maintain activity levels throughout their stays. These services prove particularly valuable during ski or biking vacations when consecutive days on the mountain accumulate fatigue.

Massage Envy offers customized massage sessions performed by highly qualified therapists and they also provide professional skin care services and therapeutic stretch.

Align Spa focuses on your entire well-being-body, mind, and spirit. In addition to numerous massage services, they feature a holistic med spa.

Pure Sweat + Float Studio offers a 20, 40, or 60 minute Float Therapy session, complete with an en-suite shower, fresh towels, and natural care products.

StretchLAB’s certified flexologists start with identifying tightness and imbalances, and end in improving mobility and flexibility through a customized, assisted stretch session.

Altitude Considerations

Park City sits at 6,900 feet elevation, with ski areas and mountain trails reaching above 10,000 feet. The altitude affects fitness performance—expect reduced capacity compared to sea level workouts. Hydration and gradual increases in intensity help to make for a smooth adjustment to altitude.
