My husband and I came in for a couple’s massage. While he had a positive experience, I did not. We booked a Swedish massage, which I was informed by my therapist would be soft-medium pressure. I’ve had several massages in my life, and this was definitely the most aggressive one. She didn’t ask me if the pressure was okay, and I had to ask her to lighten up after it was painful enough to make me clench my teeth. After I asked her to go softer, she still went hard enough that my muscles are extremely sore two days later (I can’t even touch my calves or shoulders). She used the point of her elbow, or dug her thumbs/nails in for the majority of the massage. I wish I could have just relaxed and trusted the process, but the combination of her not checking in, and then not taking my feedback after I spoke up made this an overall negative experience. I left 3 stars because my husband enjoyed his experience, and all the staff were friendly/nice.
Loli was fantastic massage therapist! She is an intuitive healer - and she also spent time giving me valuable advice to help relieve my pain. She is strong when necessary, and very in tune as to when to ease pressure. I feel very grateful to have found her! Highly recommend!
We would not risk visiting this spa again. Especially if traveling. This review is 2 parts and slightly challenging. Jann, my esthetician, was WONDERFUL. Rating on her alone would be five stars for her specifically. She was kind and warm and professional, and did an amazing job and made me feel so rested and rejuvenated. However, our service at the spa was unsatisfactory otherwise. We booked 5 services for a girls trip, confirmed twice and 1 of our friends was left with no massage. She was ignored in the waiting room until she asked and was told there was no one to do her service. I understand call ins. My issue is with ownership and management. I found it completely unacceptable that there was not back up available to make sure her service was completed. On a busy Saturday to not have staff to handle these situations is unprofessional.In a vacation town where people are traveling, to not have reliable staff and back ups is wild. We appreciate the discount, but it was not enough to compensate ruining the beginning of her trip. The woman scheduled after us was from out of state and was also turned away for her scheduled message. If you’re not local I would not recommend this business.
Just had an amazing full-body deep tissue massage with Jordan — easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Honestly, this was only my third massage, and after my first two I was starting to wonder if massages just weren’t for me. Jordan completely changed that. He was super professional, really knowledgeable, and did an awesome job working out tight areas with the perfect amount of pressure. I walked out feeling noticeably better and way more relaxed. Highly recommend booking with him.
Went in for a massage this past weekend and was greatly disappointed. My massage therapist’s hands were ice cold throughout the entire 90 minute massage. He even commented that they were cold but did nothing to warm them up. This made it impossible to relax and I left feeling more stressed and uncomfortable than when I arrived. The facility was nice and I had high hopes this could be my new regular massage place. Definitely not the caliber of massage I was expecting based off of the reviews and word of mouth around town.
