I brought my cat, Pumpkin, to Bark City Veterinary this past Saturday after a disappointing experience at White Pine Vet, and I am so incredibly grateful I did. Two days prior, White Pine had attempted an enema that was unsuccessful. Because they had an interim doctor and closed early due to shortages, I left without an invoice or copies of his X-rays, and I was growing incredibly worried when he still hadn't passed anything. Their recommendation was to bring them to an ER, which the closest is Salt Lake City and for a cat that’s quite a drive. After seeing recommendations on Nextdoor, I decided to give Bark City a shot since they were open and close to home. From the moment we walked in, the staff was amazing. Even though they may primarily see dogs, I only say that cause of the reviews, not many of cats, the receptionists and vet techs were genuinely excited to welcome a cat. Dr. Kate Larson and her team were wonderful-they listened to my concerns, made me feel completely heard during a stressful moment, and worked mindfully within my budget constraints. They were able to perform a successful enema without needing sedation, meaning Pumpkin came back to me far less stressed than usual. As an added bonus, the exam rooms have windows! Taking a cat to the vet is usually a nightmare, but Pumpkin was completely preoccupied watching the ground squirrels outside because there exam room has windows. Pumpkin finally did his business about 30 minutes after getting home, and he has remained completely regular since. My relief is insurmountable. I will absolutely be switching to Bark City for his regular care. If you are a cat owner, do not hesitate to bring your cat here. Sincerely a grateful cat owner!
I want to sincerely thank everyone who helped save my dog’s life. Björn was diagnosed with GDV, and without the quick action of Dr. DiGiovannie and her team, he likely would not have survived. They understood how critical the situation was and acted immediately. They took the time to clearly explain what was happening and had everything prepared for his transfer to MedVet in Salt Lake after surgery. Because of their skill, efficiency, and care, we were able to bring our dog home to our family. We are incredibly grateful to have a facility like this in Park City that can provide such timely and life-saving care for our animals.
I’ve worked in the medical field now for 20 years - the human one. I’ve worked in a surgical ICU for 19 years. I’ve met many many surgeons great and not so great. Dr. Jones is an amazing surgeon that is extremely well educated and very dedicated to our furry friends. He made us feel extremely comfortable and you could tell he knew exactly what he was doing. His personality alone was comforting during a very uneasy time with our fur child. He answered ALL of our many questions with sincerity and humor. His dedication to his field both in and out of work shows through and through. We would absolutely recommend Dr. Jones and Bark City and in the unfortunate circumstance we need him again we will absolutely seek him out again. PS. Xander says Thank you!
Dr. Stephen Jones came highly recommended and even with knowing all that, he proceeded to exceeded all of our expectations! The entire staff was attentive and available 24/7. Dr Jones was very thorough and helped us explore all of our options for our dog. His bedside manner was phenomenal! We ended up going with a Total Hip replacement which is no small commitment. He gave us great resources and made sure we were well educated! The actual procedure proved to have some complications due to unforeseen circumstances with our dog’s bone density. But he went above and beyond to make sure the procedure had a positive outcome. And we are so happy with all the effort he made to make our dogs life better! He takes such pride and ownership in all he does and it doesn’t go unnoticed! We can’t sing his praises loud enough. He has made it so our dog can have a great life and continue to bring joy to our family! Thank you Dr. Jones and staff!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND-Outstanding vet and specialty clinic. Dr. Jones and his staff are so kind, thoughtful and HIGHLY knowledgeable and skilled. I actually live in San Diego, CA and chose to come to Dr. Jones and his clinic based on his experience, credentials, trainings and "patient" results. Don't hesitate to go at all, the whole team is wonderful. -answers phone quickly and gets the answer for you. -caring staff, genuinely cares about our pets! -quick to get appointments, understands possibly the need to bump you up to a sooner day and time depending on your pets condition and needs -staff stayed overtime to fix my puppy! He had hip/femur surgery (FHO). -overnight nurses and techs to keep your babies safe and recovering -doctors on call 24/7 -called to give me updates before, during, and after surgery -less expensive for me being in CA, price is very fair in comparison to local vets there as well.
