I just went on an Image Reborn retreat to Huntsville, Utah, this past weekend. It was truly incredible. I stayed in a beautiful, spacious mountain home with 6 other amazing women. We had such a fun time together and our facilitator, Natalie, took such good care of us. She thought if absolutely everything and really made the experience special for us. The spa day (4 treatments each) was wonderful! We had a private chef who cooked both dinners for us, a really great Q&A with Dr Saltz (Image Reborn founder and breast cancer plastic surgeon). He was so open and willing to answer any question, and we had many. The best part was bonding and laughing with a wonderful group of women who understand what it’s like to go through cancer treatment.
I almost didn't walk through the door. I pulled up to a beautiful donated home in Heber on Friday evening, texting my husband, not sure I belonged. I had hair. My cancer was Stage 1. I thought maybe I wasn't enough of a survivor to be there. I was wrong. What happened over those two nights is hard to put into words but I'll try: six strangers became sisters. We grieved together, laughed together, cried together, and held space for each other in ways I didn't expect from people I'd just met. I came in with one intention: "Rest is my offering." And for the first time in a long time — I actually rested. I let people serve me. I received. Our facilitator Debbie held space for all of us with such quiet grace that by Saturday we forgot she wasn't one of us — so we made her one of us. She belonged in that circle just as much as we did. The grief circle, the sound bath, the spa services, the daily gifts, the speakers, and the olive tree in the background, gently reminding me that something good comes after something hard — every element was thoughtful and intentional. But the real gift was the women in that room. I left with my arm moving better than it has since surgery, more gratitude for my ordinary life than I've felt in years, and a group of women I will never forget. If you're wondering whether you belong there — you do. Walk through the door. Image Reborn is the real thing. 💙
Immeasurable gratitude for some time I got, when I forgot all my troubles, aches and pains, chemo etc. and just reveled in moments of laughter, friendships and rest and relaxation. Truly blessed for the opportunity that was unforgettable!
I recently attended my first Image Reborn retreat. It was beyond all of my expectations. So often as a cancer patient you feel alone, isolated and in pain. It was so liberating to know that I was not alone. Thank you Image Reborn, and a huge thank you to the ladies who are now my forever "booby sisters". Love to all! DeAnn
I attended a stage IV retreat. I could not say enough good things about my experience. The food, accommodations, activities were all excellent. The sisterhood will last a lifetime.
