Minky Couture started in 2009 when owner, Sandi Hendry's daughter became very ill and was hospitalized for several months. During this time, Sandi longed for a way to bring comfort to her daughter while in recovery. Her daughter asked for a "big baby blanket" to snuggle up with during this time. Sandi looked everywhere for a fashionable, cozy blanket but was unable to find one perfect for her daughter. It was at this time that Sandi created the first-ever Adult size Minky Couture blanket. This incredibly soft blanket was swooned over by those surrounding her daughter in recovery. Sandi created 2 more, 10 more, 100 more per requests – giving them to those in need and selling them out of her trunk to people longing for luxurious comfort. By 2015 there were five Minky Couture locations across the state of Utah and a thriving online store, all prepared to provide a product that is perfect for every reason in any season. As Minky Couture continues to grow and develop our brand of comfort and luxury, we strive to find opportunities to provide for those who struggle both physically and emotionally. We believe that comfort and luxury in the form of a warm blanket is both concretely warming while also metaphorically comforting.

Very disappointed with my experience... Me and my family came in because I was looking for a quality blanket and got recommended this place by a family member. The blankets seemed nice but the staff made me not want to support a company who's employees (3 of them) behave the way that they did. How are they representing the company values? They did not check on us, stayed behind the counter whispering and making us very uncomfortable. Having never been to a Minky store before, I asked the workers what the difference was in the blanket variants. 1 of the 3 employees audibly laughed at my question while another one answered. They then resumed whispering and it gave me a very bad feeling and we left without buying. It did make me disappointed to not get a blanket but I can't justify supporting a business where me and my family are mistreated. Do better!!
In person Minky experience! I went in not thinking of buying anything but of course left with the most luxurious silky soft blanket and scarfs. This is from Christmas time but had to let you all know that its a must to have one of these, especially in the winter time.
Blanket is really soft but the stitching in the blanket is AWFUL! I got the blanket for my birthday in December and soo much of the stitching is coming out it has a hole in it already and I called the company before it got a hole in it when I just noticed the sitching coming out and they were rude and told me they didn’t care that they only care about it if had a hole in it. Well two weeks ago I found a hole in the blanket and I emailed the company told me to file a claim but it won’t let me file a claim because when my husband first got the blanket it went to the wrong house and we never got it so he had filed a lost package claim. I had emailed the company and multiple times now about my problem and still haven’t reached back out! This blanket is soo expensive to already Have holes and sticking coming out!
Minky couture had hospital blankets waiting for babies after delivery and they were the cutest! very classy of this brand! We are from Mississippi …new to Utah and I will be buying from them now!
This place was beautiful, with friendly staff. It was like going to a blanket candy store 😍 indefinitely recommend this place. I love the blankets here.
