Park City Community Church is a United Methodist congregation and part of the Mountain Sky Conference of the United Methodist Church. Though part of the UMC denomination, people come to PCCC from a variety of spiritual backgrounds. Our denominational motto of "Open Hearts, Open Minds, and Open Doors" truly fits us as we are a congregation who brings with them a variety of viewpoints, backgrounds, and experiences.

Unfortunately, my experience at Park City Community Church reflected many of the concerns I have about modern Christianity. To be fair, the Sunday I attended featured an associate pastor rather than the senior pastor, so my observations are based on a single visit. During the sermon, I noticed the use of terms such as "equity" and "unhoused," language that felt more influenced by contemporary social and political trends than by traditional biblical teaching. While reasonable people may disagree on that point, it left me questioning the church's theological direction. I was also disappointed that the congregation was never encouraged to open their Bibles and read along with the passage being discussed. While many churches now project verses on screens, I believe there is value in having worshippers engage directly with Scripture rather than passively consuming it from a presentation. The sermon did challenge the congregation, and I give the associate pastor credit for that. However, the emphasis seemed focused more on modern social concerns than on biblical exposition, repentance, discipleship, or spiritual growth. More broadly, I left with the impression that the church has embraced a seeker-oriented model that prioritizes accessibility and broad appeal. While that approach may attract more attendees, I believe it can sometimes come at the expense of deeper theological teaching and a willingness to confront difficult biblical truths. Ultimately, I was looking for a church centered on Scripture, one that encourages members to engage deeply with God's Word and places biblical teaching at the forefront. Based on my visit, Park City Community Church did not appear to be that kind of congregation.
Such a welcoming, spiritually nourishing, and strong community to all who attend. Our family loves the focus on community service and the lovely children's program. A wonderful place to call home on Sundays
Beautiful.. Modern. Pastor Sam is amazing, kind, and really is great at working with families during times of crisis. Thank you so much for everything!
We attended the Christmas Eve service at 7 pm. It was glorious. We are part-time PC residents and had never been to this church before. Everyone was very welcoming and the service was perfect. There are also some shockingly talented vocalists in their choir; a very pleasant treat!
Friendly, welcoming church. Great Small group activities and Bible studies. Love how much the members participate and contribute to the Park City community and to mission trips all over the world. This church truly demonstrates the love of Jesus
