Summit Land Conservancy
The Summit Land Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2002 and Park City's local land trust dedicated to protecting land and water across Northern Utah. Summit Land Conservancy is saving more land and saving it faster than any land trust in the state. We steward our shared investment in open space by defending 63 permanent conservation easements and two preserves, safeguarding more than 25,000 acres of land. At the same time, we're working to conserve an additional 25,000+ acres of the landscapes people here value most. Park City's tourism, recreation, and resort economy depend on keeping these lands intact. By preserving open space throughout the Wasatch Back, we protect the scenic views and outdoor opportunities that drive our local economy. As a locally based organization, our team lives and works here, partnering with landowners, donors, local governments, and like-minded organizations to get the work done. It takes creativity, collaboration, and a shared commitment to ensure these places are protected for the future.
