Nestled in the heart of Park City, Utah, Grub Steak House offers a charming, rustic atmosphere paired with a menu that is sure to satisfy both casual diners and those seeking a more upscale experience. Whether you’re after a hearty steak, fresh seafood, or a cozy dining spot after a day on the slopes, this local gem delivers on all fronts. Ambiance: 4/5 Grub Steak House exudes warmth and rustic charm, with dark wood paneling, exposed beams, and a cozy fireplace. It’s an inviting setting, perfect for a relaxed dinner. While the decor may be traditional, it gives off a homey vibe that makes you feel like you’re part of the Park City community. Food: 5/5 When it comes to the menu, Grub Steak House doesn’t disappoint. The steaks are the star of the show, with options like the famous “Grub Steak” (a seasoned, perfectly grilled choice cut) and the “Filet Mignon” that melt in your mouth. For those looking for variety, the seafood dishes—especially the crab cakes and the salmon—are flavorful and fresh. The menu also features a selection of hearty sides like creamy mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables that complement the main dishes. The highlight for many patrons is the house-made dressings and sauces, which add that extra burst of flavor to any dish. And don’t skip dessert! The chocolate lava cake is a crowd favorite, rich and decadent.
I can not speak highly enough about this restaurant. I set the reservation for 4 and ended up needing to change it to 10 a few days before our visit. They were amazing, working their magic and making room for all 10 of us. Even with a larger group the table placements were great with room between parties. The live music was a perfect touch. The staff was fantastic during our visit, they were so helpful and made suggestions for food and drink choices. The food was spot on. Our group ordered everything from meatloaf, ribs, crab, elk, buffalo, prime rib and the tomahawk steak. Everyone loved their meal and said they would love to come back! Thank you for making our visit memorable.
Rustic atmosphere, good service, great appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Try the French onion soup you won't be disappointed.
Have gone there in the past a few times. It's very obvious that the original owners have sold out to someone that charges high prices and provides poor quality food. Steaks were extremely high priced and poor fatty quality. The prime rib was so tendor it would cut with a fork but tasted like mush.
Goodness was this delicious! I came here with my fiancé and his sister - my first time joining for their longstanding tradition when skiing in Park City. They mentioned that the food was good but nothing could have prepared me for the perfectly cooked prime rib that I enjoyed here. Combined with the red wine and simple baked potato side, I was reminded of how special it is to dine out. There is no way my cooking could come close to this! Happy to have been included this year and am already looking forward to the next time.
