I dont even know where to begin. Back in March of this year our daughter was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor. Before we even made it to the surgery hospital, we were told St Jude had stepped in on her care and would be treating her. We came to Memphis not knowing what was going to happen or even how to process what we were going through. They have literally thought of everything though. Every need of not only our daughter but our family was met. The staff were out of this world and so knowledgeable. Not only did the staff start to feel like family, but so did the other families we've met. This place is truly remarkable. Thank you so much for the love and support from your staff as we all that are here are experiencing life changing situations. Thank you for trying to give as much normalcy as can be when we are so far from home. I do need to give a huge shout out to Radiation Oncology, Dr Merchant and staff ... you guys are life savers. Also a shout out to Proton Radiation staff for comforting our kiddos while they are getting Radiation where we cant be with them. Nicki and Tiffany, RO reception... you ladies are amazing! Hannah in psychology, we cant wait to see you again! Megan from Child Life, you are absolutely amazing at your job!! And to all yhe staff that came for our girls bell ringing, we love you all and thank you all for the support.

I️ want to commend Robin Hammons (spelling?) on her willingness to accommodate me even though it was after 5pm. She went above and beyond for me and deserves recognition for her demeanor and character. Also, Andrea Gropman deserves a huge recognition for her attentiveness to my condition. She was extremely validating, easy to understand, and helped provide me with next steps. She is a rarity and deserves the utmost recognition for her knowledge and patient care.

My husband and I visited our friends’ daughter today, and we were truly amazed by the kindness and professionalism we experienced. Every staff member we encountered went out of their way to help us. We interacted with four different people, and each one treated us with genuine care, respect, and warmth. Two of them even walked with us to make sure we knew exactly where to go. It made us reflect on how wonderful it would be if everyone treated one another with this level of compassion. These individuals showed not only professionalism but also a sincere goodness of heart. Because of this experience, we immediately felt inspired to contribute to this hospital — it’s clear that the management has placed the right people in the right roles. Thank you to each and every one of you who treated us like family. And a special shout‑out to the management for hiring such dedicated professionals who carry out their work with such meticulous care.

The 2025 run was held Saturday, August 2, beginning in Macomb IL and concluding in Peoria. Multiple segments launched from surrounding towns as part of a larger regional relay—Bloomington-Normal, Canton, Galesburg, etc.—each leg bringing together hundreds of local supporters . Peoria’s affiliation with St. Jude dates back to 1972, rooted in the founder’s personal connection to the city—emphasizing a long and meaningful community partnership. This relay is not a race, but a fundraising event with the sole purpose of supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Since its inception, the St. Jude Runs network has raised more than $94 million for research and patient treatment—funds that ensure families never get billed for care, travel, or lodging. Proud sponsor 🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♂️💨❤️
