If you are a regular Marriott Bonvoy traveler, be aware that this property operates very differently from a normal Marriott hotel — and not in a good way. This is essentially a Marriott Vacation Club timeshare property, and the experience makes it feel like non-timeshare guests are an afterthought. Marriott sends a “know before you go” email warning you that many standard Bonvoy benefits do not apply here, but even that disclosure is incomplete. The property lacks many of the amenities travelers reasonably expect at a vacation resort: no breakfast, no restaurant, no bar, and very limited on-property services or activities for guests who simply want to relax at the resort. For a place marketed as a vacation destination, the lack of basic hospitality amenities is striking — especially during the summer season when many guests are not here to ski and may expect more of a resort experience. Had Marriott been more transparent about the true nature of the property, I would not have booked here. The experience also left me with a very negative impression of the Marriott Vacation Club concept overall. The location is good, but beyond that, this did not feel like a welcoming Marriott experience.
Was able to get a very reasonable price on a two bedroom villa during the off season. Although we were between winter and summer activity options, there were still lots of opportunities for leisure and relaxation. Highly recommended.
Property is excellent. Staff and activities are fantastic. Proximity to the slopes is unbeatable. We joined the Vacation Club recently and are so glad we did it. Wish we can share this with others. We were worried but so glad. Marriott rocks! Warning; rooms have terrible sound insulation. You can hear everything with the room next to you.
Beautiful ski in-ski out hotel in Park City, but it only deserves 4.5-stars because of the ridiculous location of the Ski Valet. The hotel was clearly designed by someone who has never skied. The Ski Valet should be slope side and readily accessible. You should be able to glide on your skis directly to the Ski Valet. Completely bizarre that to get to the Ski Valet you need to carry your skis down 4 icy steps, pull out your room key, unlock and go through a gate, walk through the entire pool area, up 4 more steps, and into the hotel. What are they thinking??
Very nice place with roomy rooms and attentive staff. Sadly the pool and many of the hot tubs were closed for pre ski season maintenance for the week. That makes for some crowded remaining tubs. Parking lot spaces are small as noted by others. Rent a smaller suv if visiting. A full size is gonna be tough to park. Great fitness center and activities center on site. We came just after Thanksgiving to take a break. The location is optimal during ski season as well as in the dryer months.
