I don’t typically leave reviews, but after leaving feeling more overwhelmed than satisfied — and spending over $350 for two people on dinner — I felt compelled to share what kind of experience this truly is. We booked Fireside Dining at Deer Valley to celebrate my husband’s birthday, expecting a more intimate, fine-dining experience. When we arrived, we were seated at a beautiful table directly in front of the fireplace and were genuinely pleased. The setting itself is stunning. The service throughout the evening was very good, and the food itself was also very good — which makes this experience even more frustrating. Shortly after being seated, the dining room generally became extremely busy and chaotic. The tables on either side of us had multiple children under the age of six who were not well behaved. There were many children running around the dining room, between tables, yelling, crawling around on the floor and grabbing food with their hands directly from the buffet stations. At times, the atmosphere felt more like a crowded buffet or a very expensive Chuck E. Cheese than a refined dining experience. For $124 per person, especially given the style and quality of the food being offered, we expected a more upscale, adult-leaning environment. This felt closer to a Mandarin-style buffet atmosphere than a fine dining experience, which was incredibly disappointing given the setting and price point. It’s truly a shame, because the food, service, and space are all excellent. However, if this is intended to be a family-friendly dining experience, that should be communicated more clearly. As it stands, it’s not the intimate or elevated experience we were hoping for — and unfortunately, we couldn’t wait to leave. Wish we could get a refund. We had planned a sleigh ride afterward as part of my husband’s birthday celebration, but after leaving dinner feeling so overstimulated, we canceled it entirely — which was incredibly disappointing given the intention behind the evening. A suggestion would be to reserve an area primarily for smaller tables and people wanting a more intimate experience but that wouldn't change how chaotic it is to walk around to get your food. I was almost plowed down by servers and other guests multiple times.

We celebrated our eight year anniversary here tonight and couldn’t have asked for a better meal! Our favorites were the lamb, brussel sprouts salad, cookie butter ice cream, and raclette.

Incredible experience, amazing food! Come hungry. Lots of stations suitable for a wide variety of dietary options, but the highlight is the fire side cheese. Soups, meats and dessert fondue were lovely. Pricey but well worth it!

Visited this lovely establishment on Valentine’s Day for a unique experience. The dining room is log cabin theme with large wood floor to ceiling log decor. Giant fireplaces crackle and soft music is perfectly regulated. Your dining experience is interactive and your attendant guides you through and tells you how to collect your four courses from each of the fireplace stations. This is an exceptional experience, a must try if you are able. The food is Swiss alps fare in nature with carved meats, stews, salads, soups, and dessert. Moderation is a must as there are many delectable treats on offer.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Fireside Dining, and it was truly unforgettable. From start to finish, everything was meticulously planned and executed, making the month-long wait for our reservation absolutely worth it. The experience began with an interactive and delightful cheese tasting, featuring perfectly melted selections by the fire. The warmth of the fire paired with the rich, gooey cheese was an indulgent start to the evening. We then moved on to the second section, where a variety of fire-roasted meats were served. Each bite was incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. It was clear that a lot of care had gone into both the preparation and presentation. The final section was a culinary highlight. Featuring steak options and lamb cooked to absolute perfection, this course was a testament to the restaurant’s expertise in fine dining. The tender, well-seasoned meats and the overall ambiance created an experience that was nothing short of magical. The atmosphere of Fireside Dining is as noteworthy as the food itself. Sitting by the fire while enjoying a progression of dishes was not just a meal. It was an experience. The warmth, the cozy setting, and the outstanding service tied everything together seamlessly. This is one of those rare places where the dining experience feels special, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something unique and memorable. Fireside Dining is not just a restaurant; it’s an adventure for the senses. Five stars!
