We had such a good time at Kaneo. We started off with a Cosmo and an Old Fashioned, and both drinks were on point — super easy to sip and made really well. For appetizers, we tried the croquette and the octopus carpaccio. The croquette was crispy and comforting, but the octopus carpaccio honestly surprised me. I’ve never had octopus prepared like that before, and it was really tasty. For dinner, we went with the salmon and the braised short rib and both were solid choices. The salmon was cooked perfectly, and the braised short rib was rich, tender, and full of flavor. Our server was great — super attentive, friendly, and always there at the right time without hovering. It made the whole experience feel even better. The atmosphere is really nice too. Warm, inviting, and just a good vibe overall. It’s the kind of place where you settle in and enjoy the night without feeling rushed.

Protein bowl had MOLD in the lentils!!! We only realized after eating but you can see it in the bottom right of the picture. Kaneo replaced the protein bowl with a “fresh one” and removed it from the total at the end. But this was the most disappointing experience since we all lost our appetite. All the salads were too sour or too oily.

Kaneo, a Mediterranean-style restaurant on Main Street in Park City, offers a delightful dining experience. We opted for the upstairs bar area, where a minimum age of 21 is required for dining. Our server recommended a bottle of Diaz Bayo, a Spanish wine that he indicated was his favorite - we can understand why. We began our meal with a shared roasted red pepper hummus appetizer, accompanied by assorted pita and veggie dippers. The generous portion size and flavorful dip made for a satisfying start. For our main courses, my husband chose the halibut special, while I opted for the stuffed portobello. Both dishes were accompanied by exceptionally delicious sauces that enhanced their flavors. However, I thought the fish serving was quite small. Fortunately, we had already enjoyed the appetizer and planned for dessert. The portobello (V, VG, GF) was meaty and juicy, but the cashew “cheesy” sauce truly stole the show. It complemented the portobello perfectly, along with the filling and firm baked polenta and some broccolini. As for dessert, we chose the chocolate Bajadera. Unfortunately, I didn’t get much of it as hubby devoured it too quickly. It was a shame because it paired exceptionally well with the Diaz Bajo wine.

Omg I ate such a good lunch here! My salad was so fresh and delicious. And I got the pork gyro and it was so tasty! The fries were undercooked but that’s fine because I didn’t want them anyway. My margs were good too.

Overall, a pleasant restaurant with outstanding service. I wouldn’t recommend the desserts. The Pavlova was very dense and hard to chew; the sorbet was the only thing that saved it. There were also no fresh berries at all, which was surprising. The second dessert, Bajadera, was not to my taste—far too sweet. The highlights of this place are definitely the chicken skewers and the polenta with ribs—absolutely divine.
