Richie Lush is a man of many talents and interests, but spend a little time with him and it's clear his passion lies in making the best BBQ you've ever tasted. Whether it's slow-cooking meats for 16 hours and waking up at 5 am to check on the smokers, or staying open until the last rack of ribs is sold, Richie is dedicated to serving his customers a meal they won't forget. Growing up in Southern Middle Tennessee, Richie was not only raised around some of the finest BBQ pit-masters, he also learned the value of community and interpersonal connection. He doesn't just want customers, he wants to build friendships. Ask anyone that's stopped by Lush's and they will tell you they were greeted with a smile and a conversation, and left with a full stomach. Serving traditional brisket, pork and ribs, the menu also includes burgers, fried chicken, seafood and rotating specials like prime rib and oysters. Free easy parking, spectacular views of the resorts, located next to Alpine Distillery, this is a close-by but hidden gem. Full Restaurant DABS license. Live music on Friday nights. Family friendly. ✨ INCREDIBLE ✨ This BBQ spot completely exceeded my expectations. The food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The chef and staff were amazing and so friendly and helpful throughout the whole visit. I felt genuinely welcomed and comfortable, like being at home. The decor is beautiful and adds so much character to the space. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I loved everything about it. Highly recommend

Just enjoyed Lush’s for the first time last night. Safe to say we will be returning customers! Service was incredible and food even better. No notes! Love that it’s in an unassuming location and I think that all the menu items are fairly priced. We shared the 3 meat plate and added an extra side. Will be craving until I eat it again!

I was finally able to stop by on a day they were open. I got the 2 meat plate (ribs & pulled pork), collared greens, baked beans, and peach cobbler. It was delicious. The meat was very flavorful and tender. Additionally, the little cup of sauce to dip the meat in was awesome! The flavor is sort of a sweet, but vinegar flavor I thought. The collards excellent and were different than I’d ever had before. I will probably get them every time in the future. The cobbler was good too, also different. The only thing I would change was the beans. They just didn’t do anything for me.

I finally made it to Lush's BBQ, and we had a great night. Nice restaurant, warm atmosphere, super friendly staff, and of course delicious food. The ribs were so tender, the brisket was some of the best I have ever had, and the beans were amazing. They had oysters (from Alabama) that we got grilled - delicious. We barely had room for dessert, but we tried the freshly baked banana cream pie. Yum. They serve prime rib on Fridays, and I hear it is amazing, so I will be back for that. There was live music (a friendly guy playing guitar who chatted with the diners between songs).

Lush’s BBQ is a fantastic gem hidden just off interstate I80 beyond the large truck parking chain-up pull off exit behind the Sinclair station. Their brisket alone is worth pulling off to fill up your adventurous tummy! 😋 The in house sauces are tangy and yet still delicate. The house mustard slaw is an awesome experience and the gnocchi potato salad is a surprisingly good take on the BBQ plate staple. Back to that brisket, it’s properly sliced long and thin Texas style with delectable tenderness. Their rub and smoker imparts a fantastic smokey flavor that is award winning! I’m putting this on my list of must stop restaurants when traveling across I80!
