Park city hostel exceeded expectations, rooms, bathrooms, and common areas were clean! Host was friendly and helpfull, located in the heart of park city with easier access to everything, theirs tons of games and a pool table! Overall an amazing experience
This is great for no-frills lodging. The only real compromise is shared baths, but at the time I stayed there were no conflicts. (off-season in May.) Rooms are clean and good for sleeping and maybe a hour or two of private time, but not a place you want to lounge all day in. This is a hostel naturally. For that you can go to the large common room which is very comfortable and good for groups to gather. There's a kitchen with pans and utensils to cook your own food, and a large walk-in refrigerator to store it later. Only shortcoming is no ice machines, so you have to buy ice for your coolers. Lots of board games for evening recreation, and if you don't want to cook you are in walking distance of a dozen good restaurants (not chain fast food!) There is included Wi-Fi which has decent speed when I stayed there. Plenty of power outlets though oddly located since they appear to be retrofits. If you're working using a laptop you'll want to go outside of your room (which I saw a number guests doing.) The reception desk help was great, answered all my questions, and showed me to my room explaining all the features. Later she suggested places to eat and all-in-all was extremely nice and helpful. A big plus. The main issue I noted was that the check-in desk is not constantly staffed - if no one is there you need to call the posted number to call the staff out. I presume but don't know that the staff lives there. This was not noted in the pre-check in communication I received from the hostel. The other note is that the clientele trends young - the oldest person other than myself I saw was probably not much more than half my age. The music played in the common room is largely from the last decade, not the 70's and 80's. And while smoking is not allowed in the rooms, nor did I detect any trace of it there, it seems like the sinks were a popular place for the guests to wash out there paraphernalia. I would ask only for a ice maker to improve the amenities. I would recommend this for clean, economical lodging in a expensive and popular area, especially for a group of young people (which after all is the target demographic for a hostel.)
Park City Hostel is the perfect starting point for a great adventure in Park City. What I love about this hostel is that you meet friends forever. Great experiences! (Ski / Ride) alone, with a buddy or a group happens here. Free classy bus system that’s easy to get to the market and mountain non stop PC Village/ Main Street or Deer Valley; Canyons is one more easy bus. Great community stay with shared rooms and private, stayed numerous times. Hot water, coffee, tea, pool table, board games and puzzles. Secure, safe storage of gear. Follow the reasonable rules here and you’ll have a blast! There’s almost always someone around who wants to go out to dinner. Nick and Morrison are great hosts as any issues that arrived were addressed and rectified nearly on the spot.
The most incredible hostel ever. The entire staff is so kind and always so welcoming. Morrie, Best, Nick, Jack, Ky, and all the other staff are so lovely. I always have the most amazing time when I stay. The rooms are so nice and clean. The common place area is so well kept and it’s so easy to make friends. Thank you guys always for the incredible hospitality! Can’t recommend enough.
Park City Hostel is the kind of place you stay at once and keep coming back to for the rest of your life. I spent the entire summer there and can’t wait to return. The staff is amazing, the location couldn’t be better, and there are beautiful hikes nearby. I met incredible team members and guests from all over the world. The main area of the hostel is fantastic, and the kitchen is professionally equipped, making everyone’s life easier. The hostel also hosts great events like bar crawls and movie nights. Amazing!!!! Don’t think twice stay at Park City Hostel!!!! I can’t wait to be back!!! :)
