Four visits. Every single one better than the last. We’ve been coming to Hirsch for a while now and it’s become our benchmark for a truly great meal in Park City. Chef Oren Courier runs a kitchen that clearly cares — about the ingredients, about the craft, about getting it right. The food is made with heart, and you can feel it. This is a chef who means it. The freshly prepared dishes stand out in quality — you can taste the attention behind every plate. One friendly suggestion: slightly smaller portions would actually make it easier to enjoy the full journey — starter, main, and dessert — without having to hold back. The way the kitchen cooks, you want to experience all of it. The service team is wonderful — warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive. Exactly the kind of hospitality that makes a great meal even better. The Austrian wine selection is a highlight we haven’t seen matched anywhere else in the area. Please keep building it out — it deserves even more depth. We’ll be back for a fifth time soon. Without question.
Nice outdoor terrace for a quick bite. Quick service. Both the breakfast sandwich and the quiche were delicious. The arugula salad had a nice, light vinaigrette. The pistachio latte had subtle notes of pistachio that were just right.
Huge disappointment. Fondue was grainy sludge more suited to sparkling a wall. Huge come down from our last visit pre-covid. The items that accompanied were also weak. Pickles, little tomatoes. How about some apples, pears, decent sized pieces of bread, unpickled vegetables for dipping. We had desert in the new lounge; much better vibe and service. Fell way short of the past and pales next to the nearby and newly opened Alpinist.
Maybe it is because we showed up in the afternoon and they ran a limited menu, but the food left much to be desired. The Wiener Schnitzel was terrible. It was tough, the breading was too thick. I think it was prepared way in advance, sat in the fridge and then just thrown into a deep fryer (Schnitzel should be pan-made in such a high end establishment). The Spãtzle they served tasted like yesterdays leftovers. We also had a Burger at the table, that looked and tasted terrific. The bone marrow was just OK. Nice beer variety and amazing furnishings/atmosphere. Service was impecable. Based on the quality of food and their high prices, I will probably not return any time soon. - Oh, I really appreciated the complimentary valet parking.
Goldener Hirsch in Deer Valley continues to set the standard. The remodel is beautiful elevated, warm, and thoughtfully done while still keeping the classic Hirsch charm that makes it feel special the moment you walk in. The service was exceptional, and Milan deserves a special mention. He was professional, attentive, and genuinely made the experience feel seamless from start to finish. Congratulations to Pierce and Jonathan for running such an outstanding restaurant operation. You can feel the leadership in every detail—hospitality, pacing, teamwork, and overall execution. This is one of the best dining experiences in Deer Valley.
