This was my first time eating at the Twisted Fern. I ordered the Elk Ragu , which was delicious. Others at my table ordered the Octopus, which they loved. The side garden salad was good with a nice dressing. I also ordered the pilsner, crisp and cold! I’d certainly go back.

There's no way this place should be given less than 5 stars! I took my wife here for Mother's Day, along with our son. My wife has several food allergies: gluten, celery, and shrimp. Not only did the restaurant accommodate these allergies but the chef visited the table and walked through every item for my wife. He also returned to check on us after we started eating. Needless to say, the food was DELICIOUS! Great presentation and taste! Seasoned (not the case at many restaurants)! Additionally, the servers were so great with our son and continued to provide excellent all-around service. The hostess greeted us with delight and mentioned the high chair we requested on the reservation. We highly, highly recommend this restaurant! Do not think twice about taking the drive as we did, almost two hours RT! It was definitely worth the drive and time! We will return!

Twisted Fern had a lot of promise, but overall it didn’t quite live up to the price point for us. The menu is creative and the atmosphere is nice, but a few things missed the mark. The black kale Caesar was a bit underwhelming — it looked great, but the flavor just wasn’t there. On the flip side, the elk ragu was absolutely fantastic and easily the highlight of the night. That dish alone is worth coming back for. The cocktails were a bit disappointing. We ordered two espresso martinis, and neither had any froth at all, which makes sense after finding out they use canned coffee instead of fresh espresso. Definitely not what you expect at this level. There were also some small details that stood out — like crooked wall lighting fixtures — which took away from the overall experience, especially given the cost. That said, our waiter was fantastic and provided great service throughout the meal. Overall, I’d come back specifically for the elk ragu, but I’d be a bit more selective with the rest of the menu next time.

This place gives a nice chill vibe with cheerful staffs and good service. We had dinner during our trip to Park City and it was busy on a Tuesday. Thankfully we made reservation and were seated right away. The two of us shared the creamy Baked Brie for appetizer which was pretty good. Hubby got the Double Wide Pork Chop, and I opted for the Colorado Bison Bavette. Very nice presentation on the entrees but too salty. We found the saltiness overwhelmed the flavor on both dishes.

The sources of elk are unpredictable. Call ahead if this is your game. Reservations are needed during weekends and high season. The pork chop was a delicious alternative to elk. The octopus was also cooked to perfection. I recommend different bread options for the brie. The dessert selections need to be elevated to match the level offered in the entrees. The present choices are very pedestrian. It's location is very near downtown while avoiding the congestion on Main Street. Kudos to Julia our server and Joe the manager.
